witches’ brew - Sodden soil sub radar - Knochenarbeit
WITCHES’ BREW 1, 2020 – 4k video, 2 channel audio, 1:46 min
In WITCHES’ BREW, the source of the sound also becomes the source of the light, the source of the darkness also becomes the source of the sound. In a predominantly dark room, fragments of branches become visible at the point where they collide. An audiovisual web of causality creates sounds of melodic humming, ricocheting wood and hard-cut forest recordings.
SODDEN SOIL SUB RADAR, 2025 - Full HD Video, 2 channel audio, seamless loop, 2:09 min
SODDEN SOIL SUB RADAR shows people making their way through a forest at night with flashlights. Their movements fall below the radar of the video’s sound. They are only loosely synchronised with it. The sound hovers above the events like a cloudy emotional reference.
SODDEN SOIL SUB RADAR is a possible second video expanding the installation of WITCHES BREW. It broadens the sound and accentuates, within WITCHES BREW’s field of tension between symbols of violence and deep sensitivity, the possibility of a more existential reading. Together, the two videos shed light on themes of trauma and mental health.

KNOCHENARBEIT, 2024 - 4K video, 2 channel audio, seamless loop, 1 min
KNOCHENARBEIT (“BONE-BREAKING WORK”) is part of the same body of work as WITCHES' BREW. Through an audiovisual canon, it reflects on a surreal scenario in which three large bones, guided by an aggressively cheerful voice, float weightlessly inside a freezer, colliding with one another. The temporal interplay of flashes of light and sounds at the points of impact, combined with the humming of the animating voice, creates a tension field between symbols of violence and profound sensitivity.
